Postings here, document and acknowledge the achievements of individuals honored by the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) since the 1950 establishment of the organization.

 

Brian Glover - SEAW Seattle President 2002

A native of Oregon, Brian H. Glover received his BS in 1975 and MEng in 1976 from Cornell University. After graduating he spent two years in San Francisco, working as a structural analyst for URS/John A. Blume & Associates.He returned to the Northwest to take a position at Geiger-Berger Associates, Bellingham, where his projects included the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver and the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis. He joined Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire in 1985, and as an associate worked on Two Union Square, Seahawks Stadium, Safeco Field, Museum of Flight expansion, and Benaroya Hall in Seattle, Society Tower (Cleveland), Great American Plaza (San Diego), and the Minneapolis Convention Center. He worked with Arup beginning in 2003, where his projects include the Portland Aerial Tram, California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Malampaya Floating Offshore Platform in the Philippines, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation campus, and sports venues for the 2015 Olympic Games in Toronto.Brian joined SEAW in 1981, and served on the Newsletter Committee prior to his election to the Board as a Directorin 1995, then as President. He represented SEAW on the ICBO State Code Advisory Board in 1990 and taught steel for the SEAW refresher course for 8 years.
