Postings here, document and acknowledge the achievements of individuals honored by the Structural Engineers Association of Washington (SEAW) since the 1950 establishment of the organization.

Greg Schindler received the BSCE from the University of Toledo in 1973, and began his career at A.M. Kinney, Inc. of Cincinnati. In 1979 he moved to Seattle where he joined KPFF Consulting Engineers.

As Associate with KPFF, he has provided structural engineering services on a wide variety of projects for over 35 years. He worked on several high-rise buildings in downtown Seattle: Washington Mutual Tower (originally 1201 Third Avenue Building), 3131 Elliott, First Interstate Center, and 1000 Second Avenue; and on public and educational facilities: Seattle's Children's Theatre, Kirkland City Hall Addition, and the Student Services Building Addition at Washington State University. Projects for the University of Washington include Mary Gates Hall Renovation/Addition, the Bothell/Cascadia Community College Campus, and the Medical Center East Wing cladding.

In addition to his involvement with SEAW as Northwest Conference Chair 1984-86 and Refresher Course Chair 1986-1992 as well as President in 1992, he has served the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA) as board member and President, on the Code Advisory subcommittee on Quality Assurance and Special Inspection, and on the editorial board of STRUCTURE magazine.

In 2013, NCSEA presented Greg with its Service Award, recognizing his involvement with the organization since its inception, when he attended the NCSEA formative meeting in Denver in 1992 representing the SEAW Board of Directors.

Greg has served on the Board of Directors of SEFW.
