Jerren Paradee
2017 Scholarship Recipient Jerren Paradee, EIT, recipient of a $5,000 SEAW Scholarship Award, attends the University of Washington, pursuing his Master of Science in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in Structural Engineering, and with an estimated graduated date of 2018. After having attending Highline College, Jerren graduated magna cum laude in 2016 from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. A design engineer at DBM Contractors in Federal Way, during his studies he worked as a research assistant at the UW Structures Lab. Previously he worked as a construction mechanic in the US Navy, deployed to Afghanistan and earning a Naval Achievement Medal.
Jerren graduated from Decatur High School in Federal Way, after having moved to Washington from Massachusetts. He also enjoys hockey and participates in the Rainier Hockey League, playing for the Tacoma Blackhawks.
