Jonathon Waldrip
Jonathon Waldrip earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Washington State University in May 2014, and undertook the MS in Structural Engineering program at WSU, with an expected graduation of May 2016. From Port Angeles, he graduated from Crescent School in Joyce, WA, and participated in Running Start through Peninsula College. While at WSU, Jon participated in Engineers Without Borders and Bridges to Prosperity, designing a pedestrian bridge in north central Haiti. He interned at Zenovic & Associates in Port Angeles, and served as a research assistant and teaching assistant at WSU. His thesis topic addresses lateral stability and stiffness restoration in timber deck and porch structures. He played trumpet in the WSU concert band, and led a gymnastics, dance, and martial arts club called FreeRunWSU.Following his receipt of the MS from WSU, Jonathon started working at KPFF in Seattle, and became a team leader with the ACE Mentor Program of Washington, where he shares his enthusiasm for structural engineering with students in an extra-curricular program that spans the entire school year.
